Brittany needles are one of my favorites unfortunately they are no longer made from black walnut they are now made from sustainable birch. There is nothing more beautiful in your hands than something natural. This natural wood crochet hook will take a few times before it slides cleanly through the yarn, making your crafts a lot easier. I have severe neuropathy and a hand injury. Crocheting and knitting is my therapy to keep my fingers mobile and flexible. I find carbide needles very uncomfortable. I gave the Bretagne hook five stars because it is always perfectly straight and has a built in Bates style hook instead of the rounded Boye hook. Please understand that this is a natural product and each is a work of art in itself. I highly recommend every knitter to try a wooden needle. I have been buying Brittany needles for twenty years and they stand behind their products. If it chips, cracks or the hook breaks within 5 years of purchase, it will be replaced, no questions asked. Unfortunately, they don't guarantee that you won't forget where you put them.
