I bought this fan as a possible dual function. It was easy to put together and moves a good amount of air. I first used it to move air in my living room where I don't have a ceiling fan. In the months when the heating or air conditioning is not very active, the air is used up a bit. It copes well with this task, but the noise level is quite high. Second as a possible fan for a greenhouse/grow box. Unfortunately, it is completely unsuitable for this. The energy it gives off is too much for plants unless you have a very large area to grow. It has low, medium, and high settings, but it doesn't reduce much current for each level. If I had to figure it out, it "seems" 100% durability, 90-92% durability, 85% durability. You might be able to point it at the wall so it indirectly blows across the room if you've already bought it and the room is medium sized, but otherwise I'd keep shopping.
