Installed an extension cord and it worked fine for about a month. Then after 1 month of working properly, the extender stopped working. With the extender plugged in, I couldn't even get a WiFi signal from my router. I unplugged the extension cord from the wall and got wifi from the router. I tried reinstalling the extender using WPS but that didn't work, I had the extender less than 10 feet from the router. The router's arrow LED flashes red. My devices can receive a WiFi signal much farther. I then attempted to install the extension over a wired ethernet connection following the instructions. I followed the instructions on the website and showed that it was installed. Five minutes after installation, all WiFi connections dropped, the router's arrow flashed red again, even though I had never moved it. I have purchased NetGear products in the past and have never had this problem. Now I'm about 7 days past the return window and can't open the return.
