There is a "Function Ring" that you turn to select the function you want to use. The problem is that to use the feature you also have to move the activation slider slightly higher than the device while 'pressing' the button on the selector. Ring. So you need two hands every time you want to toggle a function. For example, there is no single key entry. I suspect they did this for some reason but I'm not sure why and not very user friendly. cellphone under water. Well, most people probably won't. As far as I can tell, you also have to use the app to make changes. Again, don't have your phone in the water. You apparently need to set this up before diving and maybe even start recording before you hit the water. As there are lighting settings the deeper you dive but it can be difficult to set up the camera once you use it. Overall it's a good camera, just not that easy to use. Maybe it can get better as you get used to how it works?
