I was too lazy to order some grid leds in front of the runner. The belt is latched in a hard-to-reach place. For some reason they did not think about making a disconnect to remove the grille after installation. So I had to add my own disable. I have several German lines that would fit. But they are really tough. So I ordered them to do the work. They looked like they would take a little less work. And in a sense it is. Deutsch connectors have small wedges to secure the pins. They are simply pushed in and the latch snaps behind. And it will be faster, but the Deutsch connector uses spring pins, which are slightly faster. Weatherpack pins require a special crimping tool, so I ordered those as well. This works fairly easily, but requires a bit more work and a process to consider. However, it worked out well. Plugs at the front and back seal it completely. Overall, they work exactly as expected. The connection is strong. The plugs snap into place and can be easily released.
