The doors on this item just won't close properly. This will prevent at least half of the popcorn from popping in the first place, and if left in the microwave long enough for everything to pop, at least half of the popcorn will burn. In addition, because the valves do not close properly, a lot of popcorn jumps right out of the popper. I ordered this item on the recommendation of a longtime friend. In the time between his and mine got the material they made it from had to change. We compared ours side-by-side, and their doors closed easily and stayed in place with little to no effort - either of us could do it with one hand. When I try to do the same with mine, the wings either lift up and out, or settle down when you start closing them, or just fall down completely. In any case, there are huge gaps where the popcorn will break out when popper pops up. If I could I would give zero stars. 3 star rating for easy clean up as basically there is none as you don't use oil and you can't use flavorings in the popper itself. Pretty bad. Instead, just put it in an instant pot or a pot on the stovetop.
