So I bought this steadicam mount to shoot videos with my DSLR without the transitions getting so shaky. When I received it I was immediately pleased with the overall design, although the connection between the post and the handle was a bit loose. I used an allen wrench to fix it and raced! The carbon fiber stand makes for an overall lightweight package and is easy for me to use with one hand. I use a Nikon D7000 so I can't use many of my lenses as it exceeds the 3.3lb weight limit that this mount supports. My best combo so far is my old Non-Ai 50mm f1.8 lens with lens hood and hotshoe mic: Pixel MC-50 High Sensitivity Photography Interview Shotgun MIC Microphone for Nikon Canon DSLR Camera DV Video Camcorder (requires 3.5 -mm interface) It's light enough to work with this mount easily and I'm definitely getting smoother shots! The setup took a little getting used to as I don't know how it works. I watched a few videos to familiarize myself with using these types of mounts and then I was able to stabilize the camera. I still have a lot to learn to get the smoothest shots possible, but I'm already very pleased with how much better my shots look. I also installed my LG G6 on this mount and was able to get it working. Nice. I would recommend this mount to anyone wanting to use a compact steadicam with relatively easy setup. Please ask me any questions if you have any, thanks!
