The adjustment screw must be adjusted ^before^ the input voltage is applied or it may self-destruct. Different input voltages produce different output voltages with the same trim setting. DO NOT expect to connect a USB cable OR a 12V battery as input and get the same output voltage you configured it for. I set mine to 10V output with 5V input, then connected it to 15V input and it instantly burst and died. I think I'll just use them with USB as input. Works fine except for this one. I got 450mA from one with 5Vin/10Vout and it was comfortably warm to the touch.
