Review on πŸͺŸ NCMORIN Alabaster Window Blind Cord, 100ft - Ideal for 1" Mini Blinds & RV Shades by Cynthia Bennett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feels like a durable, premium quality cord - a perfect replacement for my original cord

This inexpensive cord bundle saved me about $120 replacing non-standard brackets. I was able to get the sizing perfect using the seller's hint of comparing the thickness to a penny or a nickel. I watched a few YouTube videos and figured out how to replace drawstrings with blinds. I have 2 fairly large 55" x 76" aluminum blinds from the year 2000 that are still in excellent condition, however the cords were worn and I was unable to raise the blinds. Wire with old wire, with a flame, then twist the ends together with your fingers and a small pair of pliers to make a strong connection. Start at the bottom with the old cable and carefully thread the new cable up the blinds. I was able to thread the new cord all the way through the blinds and through the top rail with surprisingly little effort (some parts required patience as I worked through the old frayed cord with tweezers, but that was the worst). The effort was definitely worth it. There's still plenty to save up and use in the future if I have to repeat the process, but the quality of the cable seems to be as good or even better than the original, so it might last 15+ years!
