I totally agree Canon's AWESOME printer. I've been an Epson user for ten years with an Epson 3880 as my main printer. It was good hardware, but Epson knew the downside and didn't offer much support. For those complaining about the cost of Canon ink, the 3880 costs around $60 per cartridge. Tuning to 300 is very easy. It almost builds itself! Connect to Wi-Fi with a bang! Using the website's manual, each setup task was completed in about 15 minutes. They even make it easier to take the printer out of the box thanks to a rather innovative bag design! The print quality is just amazing. I mainly print on Red River paper, all of which support 300 format. All ICC profiles are available online at the Red River website and Canon provides clear and simple instructions on how to download and use them. The Professional Print and Layout software is amazing and very, very easy to use. The only thing is I couldn't easily integrate it into my Photoshop or Lightroom printing workflow, so I save the image and drag it into my printing software; extra step, but not really a big deal. I considered and even budgeted for the Pro-1000, but I decided to try the 300 first and I'm glad I did. This is phenomenal, truly professional gear. Being able to print with AirPrint is nice and easy to handle. Highly recommended! If there is a minus for this printer, then I have not found it yet!
