Great router at a great price.

This router is a steal, you get mu-mimo, Atnaes detachable Wi-Fi, hardware NAT, built in hack protection etc etc. Seriously not bad at all now that it's not a very capable router the range not as good as others, expect around 20 feet, the wifi speed will be around half the max speed but this is true for any device. For example, my laptop gets 56MB in 20ft and my phone gets 116MB. So your speed will vary depending on your device and router location. Plus, setting up this router is super easy: plug in and connect your ethernet, open a browser, and set it up in under two minutes. Great work on this feature. I've used Edimax routers before and they've always been a steal and have worked well enough for 90% of people who need good WiFi within a given range. Paying twice for Netgear or something with similar specs really doesn't make sense. Also, I have a 2014 Edimax ac1200 router and it's still working (backup router), not as fast as it used to be, but still decent. So expect around 4-5 years from them, whereas the Netgears I had had barely lasted two years with minimal use. I also bought a TP-Link Archer 2600 router and it was great but only lasted a year and didn't recognize the internet connection anymore so it really isn't that smart to pay more again for something that won't last long. The downside to this is that there isn't an "app" to manage settings like other brands, but I don't mind that and prefer to log in the old-fashioned way to set everything up. All in all not bad for a sub $100 ac2600 router with all its features.
