What I really like is the flexibility of the line. Not as painful as ropes when the dog jumps and catches you - and very gentle on the dog. A dog MAY chew on it lest they leave the dog on it unattended, but it's also a great leash for indoors when puppies are being trained and needs to be kept in the same room. Just throw in a car with a stake in the yard and travel. Could have done but would have spent about the same amount of money. They can stay outside even in winter and thrive quite well. Cables tend to become brittle and crack, and then rust. I love them and have been using them for years.
