Review on 🥶 Wagan 12V Cooler/Warmer - 24L Capacity (Model 6224) - EL6224 by Shedrick Roach

I wish I had read all the reviews before purchasing this cooler/heater as its harsh and impractical limits are not listed in the main spec sheet. The following is NOT disclosed: When used in a vehicle, the device must be turned off and de-energized from the vehicle BEFORE turning off the vehicle ignition; in addition, the device must be switched off and disconnected from the power supply when the vehicle ignition is switched on, after which it can be connected to the power supply and then switched on. The instruction manual warns that failure to follow these steps will void the warranty. In practice, this means two steps each time the engine is started and two steps before the vehicle is switched off. For example, when using a minibus and approaching the recreation area, the driver or passenger must get out of the moving car, turn off the radiator/heater, unplug the radiator/heater, and only after these two steps turn off the car. Restarting the vehicle repeats two steps: exit the moving vehicle, connect the cooler/heater to a power source, and then turn it on. Who designed this cooler/heater with such insanely impractical performance limits? Whoever it was, they paid NO attention to real usability. I cannot imagine using this cooler/heater in inclement weather and am outraged that the limitations that void the warranty are not included in the product listing. This cooler/heater is coming back and is being replaced with a Coleman unit that has these power limits n/off AND includes a power supply!
