To begin, I'd want to comment on the sound quality, which, considering the speakers' size, is rather satisfactory. There are other satellites available for the same price that have a sound quality that is marginally superior to the one I have, but they are unquestionably going to be far bigger. The sound quality of these puppies is not noticeably inferior to that of my older Microlab Pro 2, and the maximum volume that can be achieved with them is even greater. They don't "pop" at the same time, but they also don't "stretch out" the deepest basses very much (excuse my French). The layout is executed quite well. It is obvious that this is a question of personal preference, but I was really impressed with how well they went with my brand new "frameless" display (the monitor is black with red inserts, and the speakers are red). The fact that they were able to think of the notion of hiding the woofers in the cutouts on the rear of the speakers was incredibly impressive to me. In addition, there are bells and whistles attached to the packing, as well as Velcro, bags, and individual compartments. A very small remote control and even a cleaning cloth are both included in this package. It is not at all going to be a waste of time to give such a present.
