I've used this iPhone mount long enough to give a full review. 1) This mount consists of a suction cup, an extension and the mount itself. 2) The suction cup is well made and generally holds securely and tightly. secure. It only came loose once, but it could be due to the rush to reinstall the side window. I usually mount it on the windshield. 3) An extension may be suitable depending on the application, but of course the manufacturer offers models with shorter or longer sleeves OR you can also add an additional lever of a different length. Remember this bracket is secured by tightening the extension which had a tightening plastic wing nut. You have to position it how you want it and then tighten it. 4) The bracket is an "X" bracket that you press to open and then release to attach to your iPhone. Each of the four flat metal levers has rubber tips. As they work, after a while they become loose and can be lost. If you are not careful when installing your iPhone, they may not snap firmly and your iPhone may come off. This has happened to me twice. These rubber grips are also interchangeable which is why they are sold. This device is well built, may be difficult to use for some people, and you may need to figure out how to properly open and install iPhone. I say this because although I've used it for a while and am comfortable with it, it can still pose a secure fit issue for some and its weight may deter some people from using it. As it came loose a couple of times and even dropped his iPhone because the rubber grips slipped off twice, I couldn't give it 5 stars. Some might not like the weight or the mount of the iPhone so I gave it 4 stars. I think if they fixed the ends of the rubber grip more securely and made it a little more durable as well as more secure in the way they hold your iPhone I would give it 5 stars.
