Okay, I'll live without them. But crocheting without them is unthinkable! I have never used stitch markers in the past, um many years of crocheting! I think 1% of them broke for no reason. Doesn't matter? A fraction of a cent and not much landfill space. They made my job easier and WOW faster! So faster! So less waste. The frog is a huge time waster for me due to skipped stitches or lost count. I also found another useful use for them. Just keep this in mind if you need to attach something light. I have used them on packages with matching colors to attach gift tags. And it's a lot quicker and easier than twisting strings for my bread etc. And so they don't get spilled in my already scattered litter box in my kitchen, I use one to hold as many as I can put on it. I'm sure Pinterest will find 1001 uses for it too. But I had to limit my time on Pinterest as I was frustrated with all the things I wanted to do in my life but couldn't ;)
