I purchased this to go under a laptop with cooling pad, on a 48" wide desk. I didn't like the front side with white stitching (makes the leather look cheap), so I flipped it over.wow, I love the black suede-like velvet underside.no white stitching (it's black). The mouse works great on it as well.I didn't expect this blotter to be extravagant like Italian leather products (which are $100+ for same size), but for under $40, this is perfect (on it's underside.no white thread, no large logo/name). I needed something that will look nice, protect my desk from the cooling pad and work with the mouse.this does it all.
