This lock was purchased from Via Velo after I was very happy with their other product, the 15mm version (this is the 14mm version). Was looking for something lighter for my commuter bike. This is fully compliant. It's slightly shorter than her heavier one. That's actually a good thing, since most U-locks are easier to pick than cut. So the less "counterstrike" in the lock, the better. In other words, it's best to position your bike as close as possible to the permanent mount you intend to mount it to. Oddly, my only issue with the 15mm version on this bike seems to have been resolved. This is because the auxiliary cable is too short. With this 14mm lock, the cable is about 2 feet longer, which really helps. This isn't really a complaint, but more of a suggestion to the manufacturer/seller: offer some sort of color coding or some other way of distinguishing the buttons. No problem if you only buy one lock. But for those of us who have more than one, keys that look alike can be easily confused.
