Review on ๐Ÿข 11-Ounce Zoo Med Gourmet Aquatic Turtle Food by Sonia Washington

Definitely a GOURMET BUFFET for turtles!

I have now switched from Flukers to this Zoo Med Gourmet Turtle Food and all 4 turtles are happy with it. While I have to say that my turtles seem to be delighted with any food in the aquarium, this may not be the most compelling review of the product. I have to say it made feeding easier with the mix of pellets and mealworms. , shrimp and cranberries (Flukers only has pellets and mealworms. Sometimes you can get dried shrimp or 2) allow you to only have one container of food instead of having to order multiple types of turtle food. I also think they need varied food for nutritional purposes and who wants to eat pellets 365 days a year. I've also found that this feed doesn't leave as much residue in the tank once I've cleaned it. Every time I cleaned the tank with Flukers feed, I would find a lot of pellets decomposing on the bottom of the tank (maybe they didn't eat them all). So far in the 2 months I've been using Zoo Med I haven't come across any decomposed substance that looks like granules. Zoo Med mix is very good. When I get to the bottom of the bottle I still get a mix of everything. The flukers seemed to be 90% pellets and 10% worms and about halfway through the flukers you will see that almost all the pellets are left. Also, when you reach the last bit of food in a Flukers container, you will see a lot of mealworms decomposed into very small pieces, or literally mealworm dust. I don't think Flukers is a bad choice. I'm just saying that I think Zoo Med Gourmet is a better fit for my turtles.
