I bought this to de-energize an electric car that draws 12A DC for a long period of time. This wasn't a problem before, but the way the fork worked caused it to sag, which can be risky. This should solve the problem by routing the connector straight down and thus improving the connection. When I checked it some time after charging started, I found that it was quite hot and heat was being transferred to my EVSE's socket and plug. I had to stop charging the car and unplug everything for a while to cool down. As hot as it gets, it would only be a matter of time before I start melting things and potentially shorting out. Chain capacity, look elsewhere.
