Review on ๐ŸŽฑ Magnetic Aramith Phenolic Pool Cue Ball: Enhanced Coin-Operated Billiard Experience! by John Miller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good ball. Very white. Responds very well to applied rotation.

Although I had the original cue ball (bought with a set of Aramith 20 years ago and is more "yellowish cream" in color), I bought an Aramith cue ball with a few red dots on it (which is great ) suitable for evaluating the spin exerted on the cue ball), I bought this cue ball to take with me when I play APA league games on bar tables that require a magnetic cue ball because many of the bar table cue balls have played with so many of they seem "sluggish" and often have chips. Now I have three cue balls and this is by far my favorite. Not only is the white and white color more pleasing to the eye, but the ball seems to respond better to English, particularly on the spin game. Because the ball has the same weight as other game balls. However, this ball can also be easily marked with chalk. Wiping the ball after each rack helps keep it clean. However, using blue or green chalk will mark the ball and it is very difficult to prevent marks from getting on the ball. I've started taking it with me to play APA pool on bar tables, but I'm not happy with the ugly bruises that appear on it. So I'm going to buy the more expensive Aramith cue ball with the purple logo and Duramith technology as they have a harder finish and are said not to be as prone to dark chalk stains.
