Not a single adapter works

Both adapters didn't work. Don't buy this no matter how cheap it is. I feel cheated. Details: I bought this to connect an external SSD to my Galaxy A tablet. The SSD has a short cable that ends in a USB 3 connector and the tablet's charging data cable connects to the tablet via USB C and the other End is USB 3 (male). The adapter should connect the USB 3 "male" ports together, but the tablet doesn't recognize the drive when I do so. Tried different cables with no success. None of the adapters work. The tablet recognizes the drive with a Revain Basics USB-C male to USB 3 female adapter, so I know the tablet or SSD is fine.
