Overall this bedside lamp is really good. It emits energy-saving warm white light, perfect for reading in bed. The lowest brightness level is enough for reading books, but medium to bright settings can really brighten a room when needed. The pattern and style of the lampshade could have been better in terms of my personal preference for a more classic linen style. I would love it if it was a capacitive touch control lamp, meaning you touch the base anywhere to turn it on. . But at least the light switch is an easy-to-press touch switch that sits on the base and is always on, so you can see where to touch to turn the lamp on. So overall it's pretty well designed, including the way you turn on the lamp. Other nice features include USB 2.0 ports (also works with 3.0). It's nice to be able to easily plug in my phone's charging cable. It's also nice that the charger isn't being used, which extends its lifespan and allows me to keep it where I can take it on the go when I need it. But three ports seems to be too much. It's not that bad, you don't have to use all the ports. Love the fact that the sockets on the lamp base are 3 pin and not the cheaper 2 pin ones. The lamp plug is also three-pin, i.e. grounded and grounded devices can be connected to it. Most of the other lightbulbs I looked at in stores only had the two pin ungrounded option. But I don't understand. It's not that hard to assemble them with safer three-prong grounded outlets, and if you have something with a two-prong plug you can still plug it into a three-prong outlet. You can't help it, try plugging a three-prong plug into a two-prong outlet. This lamp is far superior to others because of the three-prong shape. The really nice thing about this lamp is that it integrates the plugs of your bedside table. It acts as an extension. So with just a plug in an outlet, you can power a bedside lamp (the device itself), a phone charger, an alarm clock, and one or two or three other things. I just wish I had this, or a very similar bedside lamp for so many years that I haven't had one. I highly recommend this lamp.
