I confess I was surprised by the size of this machine when it arrived. I expected something more. I think I didn't read the ounce. The capacity is correct when I ordered. What can I say, it was perfect. I made 1/2 pot on weekday mornings and my husband and I couldn't even finish 1/2 pot. But this French Press is the perfect size for a cup of coffee. No waste. And as a newbie to French press coffee, I was amazed at how easy it was to make. I don't know why I didn't try it before. This is the best way to brew a cup of coffee (do you have Keurig owners?). Simple, uncomplicated and waste-free.
