This egg carousel holds about 18 medium sized eggs and stands upright on our kitchen island counter. I was nervous about eggs rolling down and crack, but the roll is gentle, and so far no cracks!Eggs sometimes need a nudge to roll, but they roll assembly-line mostly. The great thing is that the eggs take up less space.And now a note to those of you who shudder and shake about non-refrigerated eggs.When we traveled in Europe, guess what? Eggs were sold on the store shelves non-refrigerated. And the Europeans eat them heartily and aren't getting sick. Here's what we found out. If the eggs are consumed within 4 weeks, no problem. Just don't let them be subjected to the big wash and handling that happens in the States.
