The box arrived partially crumpled and the file holder inside was cracked and broken. But the Bona Fide glass folder remains intact and is a great introduction to excellent filing. However, I paid the same for a file and a broken case as I did for six files, each with a case intact after I bought them. Glass nail files and metal nail files appear to be unrelated; Compared to a glass file, a metal file is a grater. The glass file works with less obvious resistance, drama and noise. In contrast to metal files, the glass file works in both directions. It may not seem like much at first glance, but don't be fooled. The rapid back and forth movement shortens nails, leaving smooth, polished edges that are harder to break or chip. This isn't hype; I was surprised and delighted.
