Used at home (in our cave) and on our travels; We put a small travel dog in it when used in hotels. If we install it in a hotel or someone's home, they'll be happy to ride it because it's local and part of their favorite possession. Our dog roams freely around the house, but when traveling it's nice to be able to zip up to control his movements. At home he comes and goes as he pleases; it also houses one of his large dog beds and some of his toys. FOLDS TO WEAR: My husband lets me do the folding as it can be a nuisance. I had to practice following the printed instructions, but I still struggled at times. I found two dog parents on YouTube who also showed how to fold the pen (they did it a variety of ways, which I found interesting), but watching them helped a lot. Our small dog (Lhasa Apso) weighs 15.5 pounds. and medium size is the best for it. First we ordered a small one and found that it needed a little more space. I highly recommend this.
