Review on Lisle 67300 Multi Position Magnetic in Vibrant Red by Mark Morrow

I'm a soulless heathen who keeps my most used sockets in my tool chest. I admit it, feel free to hate me all you want. Yes, every time I needed an outlet I had to dig, but I was able to easily grab a box and had 90% of what I need to run the machine with me, and believe it or not, it is quite amazing how many outlets there are. , Unis, extension cords, wrenches and pliers can be carried in one box if you just throw them in at random. I was once a fat man with a well-organized chest. All my outlets were on rails, everything was easy to find, and life was good. Then . others in the house started using my tools and. Spring. Apparently my toolbox has advanced biometric technology built into it that allows anyone to *remove* the tool, but only I can put it back :(I decided my life needed a change. I looked at the rails and thought a bit the splints after time but... i don't know i have metal splints they are strong they last forever spring clips are very cheap you can design the splint as you like they are very strong compact economical but there is something about the rails that has always been there that bothered me. The hassle of removing the socket, the hassle of putting it back in. It's really no wonder sockets end up loose in the box so often that my 3/ 8 deep Masters went in (pictured) No effort required to insert or remove sockets and also easy to keep organized as the tray accommodated any socket diameter really strong enough to power sockets en to transport and sell, but I've kept mine there for about ten years, maybe 15 years or so, and really enjoyed it. When I saw this Lisle case I decided it was what I needed and plugged my sockets into it tonight. For now I'm giving it four stars and I'll change it over time as I see how it holds up. I've read that magnets aren't strong enough for some people. Maybe they changed the design, or maybe their magnet supplier had quality control issues, or maybe different sockets just have different metallurgy. Mine or a combination of Craftsmen and I'm thinking some sort of Husky, plus some just cheap crappy ones. I'm still looking for my other 3/8's (I know) so the tray isn't quite full but as you can see it has two magnetic rails on each side as well as a long strip magnet on the back. It fits my chest perfectly - sure, but breaks out easily enough when you try to take it off. It holds the sockets firmly enough for me, even upside down. It takes up a lot of space but I can still put it in my flat tray on top of other shit and close the tray. All in all I think it's pretty damn good. Big sure. With them I can't fit all my sockets back into the carry case so I figured my torx and extractors would stay on the rails. It has definitely helped a lot in organizing my outlets and I'm looking forward to my next job with it.
