It was great until it flew away from me

I've been interested in FPV flying for a long time but the cost of all the equipment held me back. I came across this RTF kit and the quad had great reviews so I pulled the trigger. It takes some practice and I flew it very carefully until I became comfortable with the flight dynamics and response of this quad. After a while I started flying higher and further. I unlocked vtx to 200mw but that doesn't increase the distance much. Unfortunately I picked it up today and it started drifting with the wind. I don't know why, but it wasn't pitching all the way forward, so I frantically rotated it 180 degrees, pitched it up, and increased the throttle, hoping it would bring it my way again. Well, the video stream started to break, and at that moment I lost my bearings as to its position relative to me. I know it reset when the RX signal was lost, so I don't know where it fell. I can look around tomorrow but at best it's somewhere in the field and it's a micro drone so I'll need a search party to find it. In the worst case, it hits the concrete, which is probably not even worth saving at this point. I recommend installing a buzzer or LED beacon if you think you can fly high or far. Also, be sure to secure the battery connector as I noticed that with a few minor perturbations the battery connectors would come loose. But while it lasted, it was fun. The video transmitter could have been better, but for the price you can't complain.
