I don't like giving "bad reviews" but this product just has too many problems. First the boards warped. A little. Not enough to be an eyesore, but enough to make assembly difficult. Second, the holes weren't in the same place as literally step 1. There should be one hole on the inside and one hole on the outside. One side came together fairly easily. On the other side, both holes were in the rods. This meant we couldn't attach one side with a screw because the hole was on the outside and the screw hole was on the inside. The bars were pretty solid without the screw so we decided to treat it as a simple issue at the factory that made it. Putting in all the metal supports, which was tedious as everything came out, and because the shelves were warped, installing the shelves was not easy at all. Also, not enough holes were made to allow us to insert the crossbars into the back. My husband and I tested all possibilities to make sure we didn't see anything. A hole is missing. Good. There is no crossbar and one side or bookcase is screwed halfway due to a manufacturing defect. Installing the shelves really broke the camels back. On the plus side, although a factory error makes it impossible to use half the screws and rods that come with it, the shelf is pretty solid. I have no idea how my particular bookshelf passed any type of quality control. I was also quite shocked to find a card in the box that promised me a $40 Revain card for a 5 star rating if I included photos and videos.
