DO NOT USE IN COMPLETELY ENCLOSED LUMINAIRES!

PLEASE READ the attached picture CAREFULLY because the description says NOTHING! I recently bought these bulbs to replace my other PHs I had at home, 2 in my table lamps and 1 in my ceiling light. 3 are down, 2 are blinking with no connectivity and one just died. The old PHs were bought in 2018 and the description for this generation AND the previous generation says these bulbs should last over 20 years. I contacted PH via Twitter to inquire about the warranty. 2 out of 3 lamps are under warranty. There is no third, why? Because lightbulbs are NOT designed for a fully enclosed fixture! This is NOT stated in the description. This is indicated on the packaging and on the bulb itself, even in the smallest print. Please note that if you wish to use these lamps in an enclosed fixture and the lamp fails prematurely, PH will not honor the warranty as your use will void the warranty. As for the performance of the lamps over the last 2 years. The last generation worked very well. and I've found it very handy for controlling lights in hallways that would otherwise be constantly lit, creating decorative lighting to tuck little ones into bed, and creating timers for my parent unit. As for 1 star. DESCRIPTION including restrictions on the use of these lamps in fully enclosed fixtures.
