Didn't test for lead after use but the cleaner seems decent.
I haven't tested the lead content after using this product so I don't know if it works. What I know is my experience of using it. Instructions for use were on the bottle. The right mix gives a lot of product. Cleaning two rooms twice with the recommended mix left little to no dent on the bottle. I didn't notice the cleaner smell enough to recall it, so it's definitely not an overpowering smell. I've used it on hardwood floors and painted baseboards. It didn't hurt. I plan to wash the rooms a few more times as there is a lot of detergent left.
