Great on desktop on selector switch boxes

I recently bought amplified desktop speakers that had a little inaccessibility on the rear volume control. It was the perfect desktop volume control. AESTHETICS: I preferred it to other options because it seemed to have a smaller profile than those that had a large square base. It has a beautiful look, very clean and stylish, photos don't do it justice, the black handle has silver accents on the beveled edge, capturing the silver highlights on the sides and top of the dial. It's just the right size. (Base is 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" and just over 1/2" tall, overall height is about 1".) It's not heavy but doesn't slide on my wood table when I use it use, the bottom pads have a good grip. The LED light is quite thin, it gets a little brighter as you adjust the volume and then fades out again. FUNCTION: Unlike a receiver or amplifier, the knob does not turn smoothly, it clicks softly with each turn, which corresponds to an increase in volume. command in Windows. The watch face only uses the Windows volume controls, meaning it does the same thing as the volume keys on my keyboard, and I was worried it would increase too much with each turn (so I wouldn't have fine-tuning the controls at low volume) or That I can't turn it up loud enough Neither was a problem, although if I really wanted to go crazy I might have had to turn up the volume on the speaker itself. The Windows volume up command actually increases the volume by 2 units (from 6 to 8 for example) and I've experimented with AutoHotKey and made a small script that adjusts by 1 unit, but I didn't feel like that i needed it Here's the script in case anyone needs it: Volume_Up::SoundSet, +1Volume_Down::SoundSet, -1 BUILD QUALITY: I agree with others that the knob can be moved around a bit. It doesn't bother me in normal use, but something stiffer would be better. However, you can press the knob down like a knob to mute the sound, or hold and rotate to change tracks. I've only had it for a few weeks, time will tell how durable it is.
