. The crank's curved handle makes it easy to turn, and even with the smallest opening of the disc, the crank squeezes out lipstick in a smooth, continuous stream. The end product from this machine is far nicer than trying to roll fudge or gum paste by hand. The only downside so far is that the extruder left a faint streak of grease on my white fondant. This was not a problem with this project as 1) the strings would be decorated with inedible decoration and 2) the white fondant would be gold colored. If I didn't want to color the fondant I would have had to spend a lot of time cleaning this thing first. So this extruder is great for baking cakes. Just keep in mind that it is not food safe. So don't use it for anything that could get damaged. might be eaten.
