Review on πŸ”§ Flat Nose Jeweler's Pliers by Baby Wubbers by Jessica Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

remarkable

I have worked quite a bit with rings and chains and my regular pliers sometimes left marks on the metal. Not to mention pain/discomfort in hands and calluses near knuckles. I read online that Wubbers have a finish that reduces marks on metal and is great for hands. Prices started in the $30 range. More than I would have spent on tools before, but cheaper than having to deal with carpal tunnel or the like later. The Wubbers brand has a wide range of pliers and I don't think they're all on Amazon (certainly not with Prime shipping). "Baby" is smaller and cheaper. I noticed that Amazon has a good discount on two different Wubbers, so I decided to try them (one at a time). Of course they were light in my hands and light in jump rings and chains. Are they necessary for everyone? no But if other pliers make you uncomfortable, you should upgrade. Or if you're making things that you want to sell and not wear, scratched/dented/dented metal can be an issue, so it's worth it. If you're making chainmail, I'd say they're probably worth it. Now there are tongs, Lindstroms, which are more expensive and maybe better, but Wubbers have been fine so far.

Pros
  • Jewelry making tools and supplies
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions
