I read all the reviews and considered buying. Since the device was cheap, I decided to give it a try. I used it to roast a 23lb Thanksgiving turkey and I was not disappointed. I noticed that one reviewer pointed out that turkeys over 15 pounds would have their breasts on the bottom of the pan. I placed the turkey on the unit and in the grill; it was slightly higher - about 1/8 inch - from the bottom of the pot. I solved this problem by placing a 12" x 17" cooling rack on the bottom of the broiler to elevate the bird. I placed the roaster on the bottom shelf of the oven and baked it at 325 degrees. It was perfect. My family kept commenting on how tender and juicy the breast meat was. I had no problems loosening the pin. I would give the unit 5 stars if there weren't a design flaw - it's not big enough to prevent the turkey from resting in the juices of the pan without using a solution like placing it on a grill. If he was 1 inch taller he would give him 5 stars.
