Review on ๐Ÿงผ Farnam Leather New Saddle Soap Foam, 7 oz by Tommy Russo

A bit pricey but it worked on a very dirty 15 year old Ekornes chair.

How it works! I forgot the chairs were even white leather. My mother has two Ekornes leather chairs and they have not been cleaned in 15 years. We talk about dogs and cats and everything else too. Now there are bad spots on the skin, scratches, but the skin itself remains intact. That means there are no cracks or erased spots. I wanted them to last longer than my mother who is now ending her life at 92 with memory loss. She loves her very much, I don't, and that's why I don't want to replace her if possible. Also, they cost $1,200 each. Now the same chair costs $1,600! We have two. So this is by no means the process of cleaning these chairs. The photo shows how dirty they are. I did it little by little and I did it for an hour every night for 3 days. Cloth, rubbing and massaging, and then wiping. If you stick with it, you'll never have to go through what I have to go through to cleanse your skin. Anyway, I used this process: 1. Clean the part you are working on with a damp cloth, water only. Really scrub. Rinse the fabric. (I used microfiber cloths.) 2. The instructions say to use a dry cloth. I used a damp cloth.3. I apply foam in 3-4 large drops directly to the area to be cleaned.4. Using a softer nailbrush, I moved the foam over the entire area I was working on and simply went over it with a firm but light touch. It didn't look like he was doing anything but I just kept going.6. After about 5 minutes it started to work and the dirt really started to come off.7. Do not rub, but first make firm circular movements to loosen the dirt. Continue working and allow the foam to soak in and penetrate the dirt.8. After the foam got dirty, I wiped off the dirty foam and rinsed the brush and rag.9. It was repeated until clean. It wasn't very difficult physically either, but I just had to keep going. It works but to make the whole chair front and back plus the stools I would need at least 3 bottles but probably 4.
