I bought my first sliding belt a few months ago, mainly because it was the only belt I knew that was the same shade of gray as my shoes. A few months later, I liked this strap so much that I decided to replace my restraints: black and brown straps with sliding straps. Aside from looking quite stylish (the moka leather is a very nice shade and the metallic bronze looks great), the belt mechanism itself is solid and allows for precise sizing, which is completely impossible with a regular belt. In general, there is no reason to buy another type of belt. Also don't be fooled, I bought a sliding belt from another manufacturer (sorry guys) and it turned out to be much cheaper, looser fit and about 5 times heavier. My only suggestions for this otherwise perfect product are: 1) Maybe use an extra second loop (which can be done with a button) to make up for any extra strap length. 2) Suggest a wider belt to wear with jeans. The belts in this series are 'official width' and a wider belt for more casual use would be ideal.
