This is a replacement for my feather duster. The first advantage is that it doesn't lose feathers in nooks and crannies! Everything else is great. Cleaners love it and it seems they don't let dust through after use. Washing is problematic - you need to use an underwear/sweater bag to keep it separate from the rest of the laundry otherwise a small part of the rag which is plastic will get caught on things (make sure you know that you have to separate the handle from). the rag with the release button first) . I just love these boots and will buy another one. Since it's new, I have no idea about the "expiry date". Hope it lasts at least a year before replacement.
