Of course we have the kaboom toilet cleaning system. . . Otherwise we would not order refills. We (well, I like) the fact that chemicals can never get into the tank and corrode fasteners. I've been using them for years and believe them when they say the product is septic safe; Of course we use Ridx once a month, but we never had any problems with sepsis. I would like to give this product 5 stars but there is still some buildup/deposit. Don't get me wrong, the toilet bowel is a lot better than before and there's a lot more time between cleanings, but I was hoping this would eliminate more. . . Perhaps this is due to the composition of our softened well water. Anyway, we've tried other systems (and the usual refills for that system) and found them to work the best (or so we think). With this in mind, we will continue to buy them, but if another option arises, we will be ready to try them. For your information, the lifespan of 3 months is highly dependent on the amount of water in the toilet per flush and how often it is flushed. Ours typically last about 5 months before we can even fit a replacement pack.
