If you have a router/modem set up in one room it will work, if like me you have more than one room in the house it's useless I've tried to force them to work where I bought them and intended to use them, but I didn't go. Moved to another room, still didn't work. I moved into a room with my router and it worked to set up as advertised. Moved it back to another room after installation. Ha! Well it's a joke. That does not work. This gets 3 stars because it technically works. IF you want to use them in a studio apartment or in a room with a router. Or you have a completely open floor plan and close the router. However, if you live in the real world where you have more than one room in your house and the room you want to use them in is different than your router, then ditch them and find a product that works .
