Review on ๐Ÿงฒ 360ยฐ Magnetic Self-Leveling Horizontal Vertical Srinea by Fuzzhead Nelson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid, clearly visible, including bracket and case.

With the lock switch in the lock position, I inserted the 4 included AA batteries and pressed the power button on top. The laser came alive with vertical and horizontal lines. Another push and it just switched to vertical. again just horizontal and brought it back to both of them again. It took me a minute to realize that pressing the power button would turn it on but not turn it off. To do this, move the locking lever back to the locking position. They need to keep the level in a locked position for storage or transport and I think this is their way of reminding you to lock it. Pretty smart. There is one exception...if you turn it on in the locked position and never unlock it, you can long press to turn it off. The level body is made of rubber and feels like a high quality instrument. There is a tripod eyelet on the bottom and the included bracket is included. The battery cover is equipped with metal hinges and, although it snaps into place very securely, it can be opened easily without tools. The polarity marking is clearly visible on the battery contacts and must match the ends of the inserted batteries. There are two ยฝ" neodymium magnets on the mount, but I think they could be bigger. It's strong enough to hold the finished corner molding, but just barely. The mount also has a "keyhole" slot to hang it from a screw or nail. It's strong, but the magnets could be stronger. The tote bag is made of thick woven material and closes with a full-length 1 ยผ" Velcro. Inside is a much thinner weave of material, and between the two layers is some sort of plastic(?) stiffening member. The sides are 2" elastic and there is a belt loop on the back. It holds tight and there is no chance of it accidentally falling out. I tested it for accuracy by using a tripod and shooting from both ends of my 15- To test a horizontal or "flat" laser line, I attached pieces of tape to either side of the corridor at each end and marked the tape with a marker where the laser lines would hit, then moved the bubble level to the other end of the corridor and aligned the laser line with the nearest tape marker. All lines were within 1/16" or about ยฝ mm, which is within acceptable limits. Door, center. I placed a piece of masking tape on the underside of the top of the jamb and also on the floor 3 feet either side of the door.I made marks on both the tape just in front of the laser on the floor and the top of the joint. Then I went to the other side of the door and did the same. Again, the accuracy of the laser was about 1/16 inch. This test showed that my level was correctly calibrated in both the horizontal and vertical planes, or in the "level" and "plumb" planes. I'll check it regularly to make sure it stays level, but as long as I lock it before moving or storing it and don't drop it, I expect it to last. The photos I took inside are laser lines that are 48 feet away. a way. At that distance, the lines on the wall were about 1/4 inch wide. I tried using it outside but couldn't see anything after about 10 feet. I believe it will go up to 100ft, but definitely not outdoors in daylight. However, this is to be expected from any Class 2 laser, regardless of manufacturer or color. To work outdoors with almost any level of laser, you need a laser detector/receiver. I am very happy with this level. Benefits => Powered by 4 AA batteries included. I prefer this over internal USB rechargeable batteries. => Robust, rubberized housing with a practical On/Lock slide switch, which is easy to operate even when wearing gloves. => Universal hole ยผ-20 below for tripod attachment. => Magnetic wall bracket complete with target for easy leveling of the false ceiling. Cons <= Wall mount magnets could be stronger. Hope that helps.
