Excellent head, straight stand, battery at the base of the neck so as not to strain the head or neck. Great sound, requires two triple A batteries to operate, press your ear to whine and rattle. Not too loud, not too quiet. A toddler can play with LOTS of tactile details, which is very, very fun. Even adults in the house play with it. I bought the first one for my 9 month old granddaughter, today I bought the second one for my 2 year old granddaughter.
