Review on AOC U2790VQ – 4K Frameless DisplayPort Monitor with Tilt Adjustment, Wall Mount, Blue Light Filter by Matt Mania

Buy on sale! good for me

Fantastic deal on sale for $240. I bought a pair of these for $508 with some modifications including taxes. They replace a pair of 24-inch Dell U2412M 1920x1200 displays and cost less than these displays. This shows how technology prices continue to fall. Dislikes: Shiny frame. This is not mentioned anywhere. so it's a compromise. In my own use, reflections have not bothered me, but keep in mind that you may get distracting reflections in your own use. All that damn "protective" tape covering shiny surfaces. , and it only covers the front and perimeter, but I've had a ridiculous time finding a starting point to get this unnecessary crap off my monitors. Also, it is sometimes attached to itself with cellophane tape. I can't talk to the base/stand as they are on a steel dual VESA mount and securely attached to my desk. Weird knob/joystick for power and all other controls, but surprisingly easy to use. It's not as "frameless" as the photos suggest: the frame around the front glass is about 1mm thick, but the active display sits about 1/4 inch from the outer edge on the top and sides. However, it's an improvement over the 0.5-inch bezel of my previous Dell monitors, effectively halving the distance between them. famous monitors released a few years ago. Rich colors and contrasts with a much wider dynamic range than what they replaced. I don't have to crank the brightness up as much as I used to with very dark games. until it's gone. The brightness has been reduced from the factory by 70% to 45% to eliminate the expected over-brightness. 27" displays replaced my 24" displays at a lower price, giving me more screen real estate. Dead or stuck pixels are not detected in white, black and gray. There are some issues with 4K output scaling in some programs, but the smartest modern programs can be taught to behave like Photoshop CS6. The color calibration seems real as both monitors came packaged with printouts of the calibration results. I changed the temperature from 100K to one instead of the few thousand K of the old ones and they are much the same as the old ones. The packaging is safe. It's packaged in molded styrofoam forms and mine arrived in sturdy boxes with no apparent damage, although Revane left them on my doorstep with no hidden groceries. And yes, it was a Revain delivery, not USPS, FedEx, or UPS, and as usual, they just walked in and scanned without knocking on the door. smaller.
