This removable magnet does exactly what it's designed to do. I have a Steelie mount to mount my phone on my truck's dashboard. The magnet that came with the mount couldn't hold my phone. As long as it stayed attached to the mount, my phone would slide down the ball and just get stuck there. This very large magnet will hold my phone in whatever position I place it. Make sure the magnet is attached directly to the back of the phone or to the hard plastic part of the phone case. If you have an outer flexible silicone surrounding your case, you will need to trace and remove some of the silicone to allow the magnet to stick to the harder plastic.
