Review on πŸ” SORTA Clear 37 Silicone Craft Rubber for Optimal Clarity by Kristen Reid

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The product is extremely difficult to use, the results may not be as expected even when using a high-pressure pan.

I don't normally write reviews but anyone considering purchasing this product should be aware that it is very difficult to use and the results may not be as expected even when using a pressure tank becomes. I had some issues using this silicone. Firstly, the running time is very short, even less than stated. In my case more than half of the material used, mainly the bottle, was unusable after only 10-12 minutes, wasting most of the product. Second, there are many bubbles in this material that are difficult to remove even with a high-pressure pan. In my case the molds came out late leaving large air pockets which caused mold problems. Third, if you're not careful and use too much or try to make multiple molds in one batch, you can make the material difficult to use, causing the molds to warp. Because of these issues, I'm not sure I can finish the molds. Going forward, I would advise anyone considering making these molds to go with Sorta-clear 12 as it has a longer shelf life and seems easier to use. I am still giving this mold 2 stars as I have worked with this company's silicone before and generally like it. I'll keep you posted on the progress of my molds.
