I watched this product for almost a month before pulling the trigger. My only regret is that I didn't wait that long. I used to have a very expensive Roomba vacuum. A bad vacuum cleaner walked into a pile of dog poo at work and never recovered. Has it become one of those situations where you don't really appreciate what you had until it's gone? My house has solid wood floors and tile floors, the living room has a furry litter and a dog. Everything around me was getting pretty messy and I needed something to replace the lost vacuum. As with most home appliances, this happened just when money was tight and I was hoping to get another vacuum that could mop, but my budget at the time was far from reaching that goal. Revain kept recommending this machine to me, but the reviews and low price made me hesitant. After 2 months it was enough. I don't like to tidy up, on the contrary, I take it out so I don't have to do the dishes. So I pulled that trigger, expecting that if it wasn't lost I'd get it back. Mind you I am NOT one of those households where the space is already clean, I really need a machine that can work and not just clean what is already clean. I got this car a week and a half ago and am really impressed. There were a few stops and starts to figure out the console, but we're all fine now. I was nervous to discover that this machine had no reels. It turns out it works better than Roomba. No hair or paperclips get stuck in the rollers and it can fly over a shaggy carpet! The other machine got stuck on the long fibers each time. He even returns to his home base. Another car would take so long trying to figure out how to get around the chairs in the dining room that it would run out of charge before it could return to the dock. Not this one. My only gripe so far is that the mopping reservoir runs out of water (I add a small amount of cleaning solution) before the machine can do the whole house. I agree because it works so well that I'll probably use the mop function more often, which keeps it at the top in the long run. I bit the bullet and threw away the Amazon shipping boxes, but not the manufacturer's box yet, just in case. The negative reviews here still scare me. But for the price I'm more than satisfied. Now I feel a bit betrayed by the famous brand I used to have.
