Review on Enhanced SEO: Newton Running Distance 9 by Steven Dahl

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Different race shoe with responsive foam

A friend of mine recommended this shoe to me. I'm used to running in minimal drop and zero drop shoes and the switch to the Newton was easy. The foam is responsive and the lugs in the outsole help with forward thrusts. I'm writing this review after riding over 100 miles in these shoes. I gradually started running with them - starting with a mile and gradually increasing the distance to a half marathon. I had some pain in my legs at first, but they gradually went away as my leg adjusted to the new lifestyle. The perfect fit is crucial for this type of shoe; The ears should be just under the balls of the feet. In the width I have the feeling that I have enough room for my wide foot. One thing I noticed is a 5-7% increase in average speed - not sure if it's shoe related. Also, I had no trouble switching back and forth on my zero-drop trail runners. Order the same size as your regular running shoes. If you're used to walking in foam shoes, the transition to the Newton may take a little longer.
