I gave an overall score of 4.1. I'm not happy with the design of where the cable exits the back of the camera. I think it would be better if he came out of the lead in a balanced center. I will be using my ice fishing camera and this will make it easier to hang. I was able to solve this by simply attaching a swivel to the top of the camera and threading a string through it. 2) Infrared light is decent but not great. I bought another light to attach to the bottom of the camera and hopefully that helps. The flashlight is made by Aquaview and is only $20. My camera's infrared setting doesn't cost $%&(. It's either on or off. Now there's an up and down setting. Each down setting just turns the camera off completely. Disconnect the cable that supplies power to the infrared port. 3 ) I was pleasantly impressed with the Design Corps. Looks like the monitor, camera and other components are safe while I lug my gear around the lake. I don't know if it's waterproof, but it's definitely better than nothing. I suppose I'll have to open it up when I get home from fishing to air out the compartment. There is always moisture on the cable when coiled and I can't believe it would be good for other electronics. 4) The cable on this unit is much thinner than the cable I had on my old Aquaview. I believe it can be 1/2 diameter and gauge. In general, I find this a plus because it weighs less and takes up less space. 5) The recording function of the camera is just awesome. It records a much better picture than I thought I could get. It can take pictures or videos. I bet I will get a great video of pike and walleye this year when they hit my bait. It will definitely show up on Facebook. I hope my assessment helps you make a decision.
