This RAM kit actually worked great on my 15" Non-Retina MacBook Pro Mid 2012, although that model technically only supports up to 8GB RAM (at least confirmed by Apple). With the warranty expired and almost unusable due to the memory requirements of the latest Mac OS updates, I decided to go to the extreme and install an unsupported amount of RAM from a vendor I had never heard of. RAM used to work great. I figured out how to properly install both SoDIMMs. It passed MemTest86+ with ease. It also passes the "Chrome Tab" test. The only time I felt like this 9 year old laptop was lagging behind was when I had 8 or 9 apps open (including an AI DJ Live suite as well as 2 browsers (Chrome and Min)), half a dozen background tasks and extensions. , and then she didn't even get very bogged down. I wholeheartedly recommend this RAM to anyone who has a compatible system and needs an upgrade.
